José Malheiro Magalhães
Deeply infatuated with the Ancient World and with an insatiable thirst for knowledge.
I am currently a PhD student at the University of Roehampton, where I am studying the concept of sexual perversions in ancient Greece. My academic path started at the University of Lisbon where I received my BA in History and an MA in Ancient History with a dissertation concerning the correlations between Dionysus and Jesus. My interests in antiquity cover history, politics and society, mythology and religious systems, and the development of ancient culture from the most Archaic times until today, where I am particularly interested in observing the reception of classical culture in modern art, literature, and film.
Highly motivated in everything that I do, NEO is one of my new passions which I hope that will become a solid option for new researchers to start their successful careers.
