I am currently a PhD student at the University of Roehampton. I attained a BA in Classics before completing an MRes in Classical Research. My MRes thesis was a study of depictions of madness in the plays of Euripides. This project sparked my interest in depictions of mental illness in the ancient world and led me to undertake a PhD in which I am researching possible depictions of combat trauma in ancient Greek literature. My main research interests are; mental illness in the ancient world, Ancient Greek tragedy, fifth century Athenian culture and Greek mythology, the reception of Greek myth and its use in the education system.
